WEBINAR: Understanding Claims Under the FIDIC Contracts

The CIOB is delighted to partner with training and education provider, Claims Class - www.constructionclaimsclass.com, to deliver a 6-part webinar training course on Understanding Claims Under the FIDIC Contracts.

Through six webinars, this course provides an in-depth examination of the FIDIC Red, Yellow and Silver forms of contract to provide a full understanding of the circumstances under which claims may be made, what may be claimed, the claim procedures and requirements for the Engineer’s responses and determinations.

Module Three is entitled `Employers’ Claims’
This module examines the clauses that allow the Employer to claim from the Contractor and the procedures that should be followed.

SPEAKER
Andy Hewitt is a contracts and claims consultant specialist with over 43 years’ experience in the construction industry. He has worked in the United Kingdom, Africa and the Middle East and has held senior contracts, commercial and project management positions with contractors, sub-contractors and consultants, including several years operating his own consultancy practice in the UK and in the Middle East.

He is the author of Construction Claims & Responses, The FIDIC Forms of Contract: Obligations of the Parties and his latest book, FIDIC 1999 Notices: A Guide to the Requirements, Content and Composition of Notices Under the Red, Yellow and Silver Books was published in June this year.

Andy also provides education and training on FIDIC and construction claims through his training organisation, ‘Claims Class’.
