About the event


In this highly illustrated presentation, held in Hatfield, Brian Murphy from National Green Specification and Green Building Encyclopaedia will talk about buildings overheating - the causes and solutions.

Brian will also be talking about specific case studies and bringing with him materials samples and books to circulate.
Brian Murphy is a technician and architect by training, specification writer by choice and environmentalist by action.  He joined the green movement in 1999, speaking at Green is the Colour and joining AECB and TGR committees shortly afterwards.  In 2001 he launched the National Green Specification followed by the GreenSpec website in 2003.  NGS has since started an online Green Building Encyclopaedia (GBE), which includes an analysis of overheating issues and solutions.

Brian has also written over 1000 CPD seminars on environmental construction, specification and professional practice, a jargon buster and environmental checklist.
