Ogilvie Construction is responsible for the construction of a £33 million student residence in Yorkhill, Glasgow, for developers Brick Developments. Built on the site of former warehousing at Kelvinhaugh Street, the project will create a 607 bedroom building consisting of three separate blocks of between 5 and 9 storeys constructed above a semi basement parking space.

One block will be created using traditional steel and lightweight steel framing, with the other two blocks built using a modular container system pre-fabricated and fully fitted out off site, for assembly on site. The building is due for completion ahead of the new student intake in the autumn of 2017.

PPE requirements to be provided by attendees: Safety helmet, Hi-Vis Jackets, Boots, Gloves and Safety Glasses.

Format of visit: The event will last 1 hour and 30 minutes. This will include a short presentation followed by a site walk round with representatives of the project team

To book a place please contact Wilma Marshall on wmarshall@ciob.org.uk. Please note that places are limited for this event.
